Every once in a while, it’s nice to leave the pyjamas folded under the covers and dress up for a night out on the town! Finishing my exam period for the term, the gals in my family decided it was the perfect time for a Girls’ Night Out to watch Verdi’s opera La Traviata. Dressed up in a little black dress, some style-before-comfort black heels and a dash of deep red lipstick we set off to the Sydney Opera House. Despite the pouring rain, we made it in time for a quick and delicious dinner at the Opera Bar before taking our seats and watching the magic of opera unfold. We were also super fortunate to witness the set change in Act 2 (they usually close the curtains) so we got to see just how many people are involved and how it’s done, it was quite amazing! The Opera was excellent and the singing was of such a high standard! Can’t wait for the next one!
